HE Speaks…Wrestling With GOD…

“It is encouraging to know that all of Gods closest friends …Moses, David, Abraham, Job and others had bouts of doubt.

In the bible, the friends of God were honest about their feelings, often complaining, second guessing, accusing, and even arguing with their Creator.  God however did not seem to be bothered by this frankness…in fact he encouraged it…”  (Job 42:7)  Rick Warren “What on Earth am I Here FOR”

The “friends of GOD” were authentic, truthful biblical examples of humanity…and GOOD NEWS…as GOD can handle ALL of our emotions, and encourages us to be REAL with Him….Amen!

Really GOOD NEWS…as my mind wants to play tricks on me with self condemnation of not being appreciative enough of what He has done or has provided.   Yes, HIS Grace IS always sufficient for each day (2 Corinthians 12:9), but He is also a God of ABUNDANCE not mediocrity.   And His word promises us that He is not finished with us yet…and WILL bring upon HIS completion in our life...and the days we walk on this earth.  (2 Corinthians 9:8, Philippians 1:6)

 

We CAN claim VICTORY, in Christ, with each day we walk one step further in HIS plan towards completion.  There will be days that we feel delayed, bothered, stressed, unsatisfied…as though we have been forgotten.  But HIS word is clear…we ARE loved, and NOT forgotten! (Isaiah 49:15-18)

Prayer for Patience is really the GOAL…as we walk on this journey with the Lord…some days we feel completely filled and capable and other days completely empty, lost and wondering is God still there???  He is, and we are called to just rest IN HIM when we are weary…Seek FIRST His Kingdom…and find the peace…patience…and rest to endure yet another day on the journey.  (Matthew 6:33)

We can PRAISE HIS name as these are FREE gifts from God…to adapt and adjust in the daily trials we will face…until that GLORIOUS DAY when we no longer feel the burdens of the world...and have come to HIS FULL COMPLETION…Amen!

Prayer:  Father, today I PRAISE your name!  That you love and care for me to NEVER take your eyes off me…as your word says… “I am engraved upon your hands”…AMEN!  Help me to just be real with you….say it like it is and be authentic and honest about the trials in front of me…fill me with your Holy Peace, Patience, and deep Rest…as you do a work in my life and bring it to Completion!  Amen

Exodus 15:13:  With your UNFAILING love you lead the people you have redeemed…In your might, you GUIDE them to your sacred home.

Comforting words…and peaceful assurance as we walk on our own faith journey with Christ as savior. 

The word clearly says… that the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy.  But Jesus CAME to give us life now!—life that is FULL and GOOD NOW! (John 10:10)  He was clear that IN this time…we WILL battle…but take heart, because He HAS over come the world!  We CAN be confident…and MOVE purposefully…daily...IN Jesus name…no matter the difficulty. 

We ARE the heirs to THE KINGDOM!  You…a child of God, are PRECIOUS to the Father…and with this anointing…you HAVE the POWER to overcome!  Praise our Jesus! 

Each day will bring obstacles…each obstacle is only a test to state TRUST in what we CANNOT see….Did Jesus not bring sight to the blind?  Heal our sickness, infirmities…and is our covenant hope to NEVER leave our side?  Let us REMEMBER this as the next obstacle is hurled in front of us…

Matthew 8:16-17   That evening people brought to Jesus many people who had demons inside them. He spoke and the demons left the people. He healed all those who were sick. ¹⁷ So Jesus made clear the full meaning of what Isaiah the prophet said: “He took away our diseases and carried away our sicknesses.”

So what obstacle is IN your way today?  As we state our trust in the UNFAILING Love of God, we get the blessed assurance that He will guide the way.  You will be Blessed as you walk in Faith…the Lords name WILL be glorified…and best of all…You MOVE forward in your transformation in Christ like character…deepening your faith! 

Every obstacle is an opportunity to GROW, and experience the PEACE of God.  Praise you Jesus…Bless you Father.

HE Speaks…I Love your imperfections…

This song, “Saints and Angels” by Sara Evans may not speak directly about a relationship with God…but every time I listen to it….it reminds me of the depth of my own personal relationship with Christ!

Making mistakes…putting my own agenda before God’s…forgetting Thankfulness…choosing to “pine” for something else…

In our sin, we get “bogged” down…and feel the weight of the world…Forgetting that with God…we can FLY!!!

And through it all…in this roller coaster journey HE has us on…HE has the GRACE to SAVE US…in the HERE…in the NOW…and in HIS KINGDOM COME…His will….it WILL be done!

Are you ready to “FLY”?  There is an amazing “flight” filled journey awaiting…

Ask God to help you see all that HE has planned for you…and to shed that which weighs you down…Stepping forward in FAITH and to FLY!

HE Speaks…The Broken Road…

Walking by Faith…even when I cannot see...it IS the broken road…that PREPARES your will for me…to see Christ!

The Broken road…when we are at are worst, when we are SO confused, when our sadness is overwhelming, when everything seems to be going wrong, when life feels like it is falling apart…God is there…preparing HIS will for me.

It is hard to embrace the “broken times.”  And yet if we claim Christ as our savior, we WILL experience brokenness.  We WILL be broken…we are meant to experience brokenness…to better “see” CHRIST!  That IS His will for me…

Only in brokenness can we “see” our Savior…He IS our Savior!!!

He has come…to heal you…to fill you…to feed you…to love you…to protect you… to SAVE YOU…This IS the original covenant…

God WILL stand by His first love…His master piece…His children of Abram.  He WILL do as His word claims…Never leave your side…Always to be a champion for your cause!  Protecting you ALWAYS!

In our misery, pain, and sadness, our eyes are often clogged with tears, un able to “see” that God is right there, interceding on our path…to the Father.

I trust you Jesus…this IS where I begin to see…

I trust you…even though I cannot see the path you prepared for me…

I trust in my God, because HE gave me Jesus to get through this time…

I am trusting this “broken road” leads to Christ! 

I trust you Jesus…you WILL reveal yourself to me…

I trust you…even as my eyes are clogged…Your rod and staff guide and comfort my way…I WILL see you move on my behalf…

We CAN CONFIDENTLY put these broken times in His hand…and embrace the unknown path ahead…

After stating such TRUST…receive the PEACE…that ONLY HE can offer…confidently walking forward on the path…IN HIS Will….that He has prepared for me.

HE Speaks on Surrender...August 2012

Fear is NOT of the Lord….If you have fear, anxiety, or worry…let’s call it as it is…a LIE!!!!  The enemy loves to hassle you on your weakness…

1 John 4:18 (NKJV) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment.


So Lets Pray…Jesus...your word tells us you are ONLY of love…fear, worry, anxiety is torment and NOT of you!  In Jesus name I pray…I feel tormented…Hassled with these emotions…Please rescue me from the emotions of fear and replace them with your PEACE.  I TRUST you Jesus…to protect me…and provide the PEACE you offer ALWAYS!!!!  In Jesus name, I pray…Amen 
  

 SO often we continue to try to “surrender” our circumstances to the Lord…and some how we just continue to feel burdened by them. 

 Ultimately, I think we often find ourselves trying to lift “up” or “off” these burdens to the Lord…and yet not always feeling the peace.  Our minds picture surrender as something we “do”…but actually it is something HE does…

 Surrender is really confession.  It is verbalizing to the Lord where we are “at” the good…the bad…and the ugly…true honesty of what is on our plate right now.  And just…here it is Lord… Here I am Lord… I do not know what to do…I am “stuck” here…What would YOU have me do next?  What would you like me to know now?  Where do I go from here?  This is where the healing and transformation begins…

 When we realize surrender is not about us doing, but of HIM taking the load, and replacing it peace, love, grace, abundance…we are set FREE!

 If you are struggling with something…I would highly recommend to pencil in a date with the Lord…preferably away from your normal life..maybe the beach…the park…on a hike…or wherever you can just be real with the Lord…And just begin the conversation...

 Here I am Lord…this is where I am “at” right now…with all honesty and truth…the Lord want us to say it like it is.  Even if your feelings right now do not align themselves with Gods will…there is nothing wrong with saying this is how I feel.  Scared, frightened, alone, confused…angry…whatever the emotion…be honest. 

 Prayer:  God …please just meet me where I am “at” today.  In Jesus name…I want my heart to be right with you…Please take resentment out of my life…Help me to face the world again with a fresh perspective… Help me to focus on YOU in the future... Replace my pain with your Peace… Replace my hurt with your Healing…Replace my bitterness with your Love... 

Jesus…this whole life transition is SO much bigger than me…you have designed something I cannot see yet…I state my trust in You today… In Jesus' name I pray…Amen  


The rest is up to Him...you need not do anything else...He will surrender the anger, the fear, the guilt, the pride, the sadness, the anxiety...and ALL the other emotions for you...This is called AMAZING GRACE!  And you will get the peace...and surrender...finally!  AMEN!


  Christ is your BEST friend!  Beginning this kind of friendship…an amazing confident…will change your faith and your spirit will begin to soar in directions you never thought possible! 

 His holy spirit is truly the BEST gift we could have or want in this life.  We are part of the Church Age!  And we are SO fortunate to have this gift of the guiding spirit in each of us…AMEN!

You are NOT being punished…You have made mistakes… we must live up to the consequences of our decisions…

The Lord will reveal what I am to know today...I can completely trust Him... as I walk this designated path...

I ALWAYS ask the Lord to go with me first...

If there is peace...then I know He goes with me...we proceed...my heart in thanks

Life can be scary at times...uncertain

Much like a roller coaster in the dark...there are sudden moments of accelerations..unexpected turns...jolted...constantly surprised...as we cannot see what is next...

But the truth is that we are safely "strapped in" on a designated path that goes to a designated point

This too shall pass...this time of darkness...

Remember the Lord is with you...guiding you...protecting you...as you walk with Him on this journey

Trust His will for your life!
Thank Him for His eternal loving grace!
He will NEVER leave your side!
Thank Him for a million faithful moments!

HE Speaks...On Hearing From the Lord...

When we prepare ourselves to hear from the Lord...we must allow our mind to be quiet...
Distractions and a sense of immediate need for prayer requests...is usually not fruitful...

The Lord does not work on our scale of time...He is endless...

We must prepare our heart, mind and body to be able to receive His graceful thoughts and directives...

First by giving Thanks that He is God...and we are not...

Second by eliminating distractions...Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness...alone... to speak with His heavenly Father...

The bible says "you have not because you ask not"  and  "if you remain in the Lord...and His word remains in you...ask and it will be yours!"

So upon desire to hear from God...we must ask...and then be quiet...

Unfortunately, as flawed human beings...we expect answers immediately...forgetting that God works on a different scale of time than ours! 

Ask the Lord to appeal to ALL your senses in answering your request...What might He show you today...what might you hear from a brother or sister in Christ today...what might you smell today that conjures up memories that bring clarity to your mind...

God answers our requests in SO many other ways than divine directed thoughts...

Be open to receive Him with ALL your senses today!  And be patient as He gracefully answers your requests!

HE Speaks…About Darkness…

When we do not know what to do…

When we are confused…

When we want to see the future...so that decisions can be made…

When we do not understand…

When we feel abandoned…

When there are tears…

When we are anxious…

When we feel fearful…

When we feel completely blind and do not know where to turn or what to do…

These moments of darkness can be closest moments with the Lord…

His word says He will never leave you or forsake you…

Look at what the bible says about these dark times:

In darkness:

Psalm 16: 7-8   I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel;
My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.   I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

Psalm 139: 10-12  Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me.  If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,”  Even the night shall be light about me;   Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

Isaiah 45:3   I will give you the treasures of darkness.  And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the LORD, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.

Psalm 32:7  You are my hiding place;  You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.  Selah 

Exodus 33:22-23…So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by.  Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.”

Embrace your Lord in these times of darkness…He is hiding you and protecting you…He will be your light in these times…keep your eyes toward the light…

HE Speaks…Reprimanded?

As any earthly father or parent would do…in childhood…we are reprimanded when we get “off course”…

In love, our fathers or parents “re set” our course.  At first, we may not recognize the value, but in hindsight…we look back…sometimes even in Joy...and are thankful for the reprimand.

If our earthly fathers “re set” our course “in love”, doesn’t our Heavenly Father have just as much right…if not more right to allow trials in our lives to help “re set” our course???  Out of a deepest love and longing for the best for us???

YES!  Our trials are directed in love to not only transform us, but to also draw us deeper still to our heavenly Father!

Even as believers, in trials, we struggle with our faith…that God will answer as we wish, that His motives are good, that He is even listening…

These are the moments we have an opportunity to grow!  God only requires us to do ONE thing in these times…in the good and the bad: 

 John 6:29  Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
Just believe in Jesus. 

Belief and trust go hand in hand. 
I have come to know a deeper trust by verbalizing my faith in the Lord. 
First I state my belief in Jesus.  
Second that I trust Him.  
And finally I give thanks to Him in ALL things. 

This steady pattern of confession slowly opens the door to a deeper trust in the Lord…that He is always in the midst…and that I can have an expectant faith…despite my circumstances!

We often confuse joy and happiness as one in the same emotions…

Happiness is when our circumstances are good…when we are comfortable…we feel satisfied…are hopes and dreams are accounted for…

When things become uncomfortable…we often confuse this as a time lacking in Joy…

But True Joy is trusting in the Lord…no matter what the circumstances…

Let us give thanks that He is truly in the moment.  He comes with me, He cares for me, He wants the best for me, He will provide for me…

Then…the mind and heart can embrace the true peace and JOY that only the Lord can provide…

True Blessings from the Lord always out weigh realized hopes and dreams…
