It takes just One…

ONE

To be just One who prays for another…

If we pray only for ourselves then who would benefit?

It takes just One person to lift another in need…

A thankful receiver is blessed and returns the blessing
to another…and to another…

And God blesses the One… ten fold for reaching out to the One…

We cannot empty ourselves completely until we surrender ourselves
and focus on another One…

One person can daily pray for thousands in need

One person can daily pray for a stranger in need

One person can smile and wear the heart of God on their sleeve to bless another today…

It takes just One

Will you be the One today?

Job 42:10
“And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends.  Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

Brandon Heath - The One

It takes just one!...Stand up for what you believe! Share...pray...love!

“The Job Experience”

In these troubled times, and weakening economy, God has put our family on a very unfamiliar road.

I am beginning to call it my “Job” experience…financial distress, loss of a job, displacement of our current living circumstances, health crisis…all in the course of 6 months!

A non-believer might find it hard to believe that my mantra has been “if God is for me, than who or what can be against me?”  (Romans 8:31)  But, I truly believe that each of these circumstances have been purposeful.  He IS doing a work in me…for such a time as this! (Esther 4:14)

Although we may never understand all of His ways…(Proverbs 3:5-6)  And as He weaves different circumstances into our life…we can be assured that He loves us, and He has a future and a hope for us! (Jeremiah 29:11)

Today, our circumstances still seem precarious…but He has us by His right hand, eager to lead us the right way!  (Isaiah 41:10)   Just one day at a time…this is all I am called to handle…and in thanksgiving and praise I will glorify our Lord for what He is already doing on our behalf today!

The bible says that the “fear of the Lord is the foundation of knowledge.”
(Proverbs 1:7)  Certainly in any troubling circumstance, it is our natural tendency to want wisdom.  We want answers now!  I have learned that true wisdom is a God given gift…A direct result of an eager search, starting with the word of God.  The pathway of wisdom may be unclear and sometimes strenuous, but ultimately in dedicated quiet time, God will reward our persistent search!

God’s blessings to you and on your journey!  As always I love to hear your comments…and your stories of God’s presence in your life.  Please share!

The bible says “iron sharpens iron”…and when we share and pray for each other..we find strength…as members of the body of Christ!  Amen!

Proverbs 3:5-6 (New International Version, ©2010)

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
   and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.[a]

HE Speaks..On Hope

If God is For Me..then who or what can be against me?

If Christ had not been raised from the dead…then what hope would we have?

But He was raised..and we can have Hope in Him!

In Him..ALL things work for our good and to His glory!

In Romans

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.
Him ALL things work for our good and to His Glory!

Romans 8:31

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Music that glorifies our Lord..empowers the spirit!

On Renewal

Even when everything seems to be going wrong…He is my Strength and my Song!!!

He sees ALL that I do not see…

And what is unseen is eternal…

With each step I take, I am being renewed

Thank You Father for your holy presence…as I walk down this unfamiliar path today

2 Corinthians -18 (New International Version, ©2010)

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

On Discipleship

Be glad!  Your reward is waiting for you in Heaven!

Shine!  You are a light to the world…use these gifts and talents to glorify Me!

Be prepared…this is not about fame and fortune

Go!...and let your light shine for ALL to see!

Persevere…the Kingdom of Heaven is near!

 Matthew 5:12-16 (The Message)

11-12"Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don't like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.
Salt and Light
13"Let me tell you why you are here. You're here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You've lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.
14-16"Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

On the Journey

Choosing to walk in Faith…

Taking one step at a time…

Trusting the path He sets before me…

Releying on Him to light my way…

Accepting the journey may be harsh…

Growing closer to the God that made me…

Enjoying a deeper dependence and trust in a God of Mercy and Compassion…

Walking a bit lighter with each step I take…

Yearning for the day to live in perfect peace with my Savior!!!

Revelation 21:1-4 (New International Version, ©2010)

Revelation 21

A New Heaven and a New Earth
1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
